Louisiana, A-State meet for 26th time on soccer pitch

LAFAYETTE – Coming off its second draw in Sun Belt Conference play, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team returns to action on Thursday when it travels to Jonesboro, Ark., to face SBC West Division rival Arkansas State at the A-State Soccer Park.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m., with the match streamed live on ESPN+. Live stats will be available at CajunStats.com.

Louisiana (1-5-5, 0-2-2 SBC) received goals from Perri Belzer – the first collegiate goal of her career – and Hailly Waterhouse in a 2-2 draw against Coastal Carolina last Sunday. Karleen Bedre dished out both assists to set a single-match, career-best for Louisiana.

The match against A-State (5-4-2, 3-1-0 SBC) marks the 26th all-time meeting on the pitch to extend the longest series in school history. Louisiana claimed a 2-1 win in last season's matchup in Lafayette with Bedre scoring the game-winner in the 80th minute.
