Ragin' Cajuns Cheerleaders
Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Cheerleading is the official cheer squad under Louisiana Athletics. Our team is a part of the Spirit Program which consists of Ragin' Cajuns Cheerleading and Ragin' Jazz. Serving as a fundamental part of Louisiana Athletics, the team promotes Ragin' Cajuns Spirit at a multitude of athletic events including Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball and Volleyball. In addition, the team plays an integral role in the University Community by performing at pep rallies, parades, and other University-related events throughout Acadiana. The Cheerleaders serve as spirited University ambassadors through participation in community service, public appearances and charitable events.
Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Cheerleading competes on the national level at the UCA Collegiate National Championship in Orlando, FL. In 2025 the team finished 2nd in the nation in the DIA Spirit Program Game Day division.

The Ragin' Cajuns Cheerleading program utilizes a recruitment format for the Coed team. See below for information on how to be recruited. The coaching staff reserves the right to host a live open tryout at the conclusion of the recruiting process if necessary to fill any remaining roster spots. Step 1: Complete 27-28 Season Recruitment Form
- To be considered for recruitment for the 2027-2028 season, please complete the UL Cheer Recruitment Form.
- Completing the recruitment form does not guarantee the status of "Recruit."
- The distinction of a Ragin' Cajuns Recruit will be communicated to applicants by the coaching staff after evaluating each applicant's form submission, highlight video, social media accounts, and/or clinic performance.
- If the coaching staff does not think an applicant will meet the needs of the 2027-2028 team, the applicant will be notified via email.
- Apply to UL and submit acceptance for the Fall 27 semester to kalyn.voisin@louisiana.edu.
- Acceptance letter is required to move forward in the Recruitment process.

- Coaches will be evaluating applicants and recruits during clinics. The below skills are required for each team:
- COED FEMALE Requirements:
- Tumbling: Standing Tuck and Running Layout. Running Fulls are Preferred.
- Stunting: Toss Lib, Heel Stretch, Full Up, Double Down. Additional Skills are Preferred.
- Tumbling: Standing Tuck. Additional Tumbling is Preferred.
- Stunting: Toss Lib and Full-up. Additional Skills are Preferred.
- COED FEMALE Requirements:
- Coaching staff will begin offering roster positions for the 27-28 season after Fall Recruitment Weekend.
- As recruits commit to the program, their commitment will be announced.
- When all roster spots are filled, remaining recruits who have not been selected will be notified by the coaching staff.
