Georgia Southern picked up its intensity after halftime, controlling the ball much longer in the second period. In the 56th minute, Sydnie Van Curen evened the match for the Eagles after receiving a free kick in the box from Alana McShane. Van Curen then sent a header into the corner of the net to make it a 1-1 score.
