LAFAYETTE, La. – After a week to prepare, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team treks east to Mobile, Alabama, for the Sun Belt Conference Championships, Nov. 5-9, at The Cage on the campus of the University of South Alabama.

The Cajuns enter the tournament as the No. 7 seed and will take on the No. 2 seed Troy on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the second quarterfinal match. The winner will move on to face either No. 3 Texas State or No. 6 Georgia State in the semifinals Friday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. The championship match is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. on ESPN3.

Last Time Out
- Louisiana closed out the regular season Sunday, Oct. 26 with a 4-2 victory over ULM at the Cajuns Soccer Complex
- Sophomore midfielder Kimberly Grasso netted two goals to lead the Cajuns offense, while Elizabeth Manuel and Madison Duncan also found the net in Louisiana's victory

Scouting the Trojans
- Troy enters the Sun Belt Conference Championships after recording a 6-3 mark in league play
- On the season, the Trojans are 14-5, and carry a four-match winning streak into the conference tournament
- Troy has recorded 11 shutouts in 19 matches this season for .579 shutout percentage
- Midfielder Alissa Jones leads the Trojans this season with 11 goals and 10 assists for 32 points, which ranks second in the SBC
- Forward Chelsey Williams is second in scoring for Troy with eight goals and five assists for 21 points, which puts her sixth in the conference

Against Troy
- Louisiana is 3-6-1 against the Trojans in program history
- The Cajuns suffered a 2-0 road setback to Troy back on Oct. 3
- It will be the first neutral contest in the series when the teams meet on Nov. 5

Cajuns Set New Program Records
- In its 4-2 win over Arkansas State on Oct. 12, Louisiana set single-season program records for goals (40) and points (100), breaking the previous program record of 36 goals and 96 points set back in 2007
- Louisiana now has 47 goals and 121 points in 2014
- Nationally, the Cajuns are tied for ninth in total goals and tied for 18^th in total points. Louisiana is tied for 10^th with 2.61 goals per game and tied for 21^st with 6.72 points per game

Cajuns Dominant At Home In 2014
- The Cajuns posted a 7-2-1 record at home this season, their third-straight winning season at the Cajuns Soccer Complex
- The seven home victories were the second most in program history behind the 8-2 mark set in 2010
- Not only did Louisiana post a winning record, the squad outscored the opposition 38-14 in its 10 home matches

DeRosa Making Her Mark
- It's not a surprise for Ragin' Cajuns fans to see a freshman pacing the squad
- In 2013, freshmen Yazmin Montoya and Annika Schmidt totaled 54 of the team's 93 points during the season to lead the Ragin' Cajuns offense
- This season, freshman Danielle DeRosa has a team-high 18 points and is tied for the team lead with seven goals
- In the single-season record books, DeRosa is fifth in points and tied for fifth in goals

Montoya Climbing the Record Books
- After her game-winning goal against Appalachian State on Oct. 17, sophomore forward Yazmin Montoya moved into a tie for second in career goals with 20
- Montoya has also moved up the charts in points (47), shots (127) and shots on goal (55) as she sits third all-time for points and shots and is tied for third in shots on goal
- In 2013, Montoya set single-season school records in points (31), goals (13), shots (86) and shots on goal (38)
- She is just five points shy from tying Courtney Hofland's school record of 52 career points, and one goal away from tying Kelli Jestes' school record of 21 career goals

75 Starts
- Senior defender Grace Howell-Harries has been a consistent leader for the Ragin' Cajuns for several seasons, and her numbers prove it
- Howell-Harries has started every game she has played in, now at 75, which places her into a tie for second all-time in career starts
- She also played every minute for Louisiana during the 2012 and 2013 seasons to lead the team
Howell-Harries currently leads the Cajuns in minutes in 2014 with 1,472

Balanced Attack
- The Cajuns have several offensive threats this season with 20 players, including eight freshmen, recording points
- Nine players have tallied at least two goals on the season in Danielle DeRosa, Yazmin Montoya, Denice Emokpae, Madison Duncan, Tina Sanchez, Annika Schmidt, Kimberly Grasso, Jorgie Smith and Elizabeth Manuel
