Cajuns look to make history, build momentum for Sun Belt Conference Championships

JONESBORO, Ark. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team closes out the regular season on Sunday when it faces long-time rival Arkansas State in a Sun Belt Conference match on Sunday at the ASU Soccer Complex.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Louisiana (10-5-3, 4-3-2 SBC) looks to make history after equaling its season-best win total in a 4-0 shutout of Louisiana Tech last Sunday. Carson Glenn recorded the seventh hat trick in program history as Louisiana matched its single-season win total set in both 2010 and 2020.

The match against A-State (3-8-4, 1-6-2 SBC) will mark the 30th on the pitch between the schools and match Louisiana's all-time series against South Alabama as the longest in program history.

Miku Kurihara and Glenn became the first UL tandem since Yazmin Montoya and Annika Schmidt in 2013 to score 10-plus goals in a season. Kurihara enters the match with 12 goals on the season – one shy of Montoya's record set in 2013 – while Kurihara and Glenn are four points shy of Montoya's record (31).

Natalie Mayes enters her final regular-season match with a 1.22 goals against average – the second-lowest in program history – while her 23 career victories are one shy of tying the all-time record set by Amanda Moorefield from 2008-12.
