The Ragin’ Cajuns close out non-conference play on Sunday
NATCHITOCHES, Louisiana - The Louisiana soccer team looks to get back on track as it hits the road to face Northwestern State on Sunday.
The Cajuns have played well enough to beat their last two contests, but came up short in a pair of one-goal contests. Louisiana took Ole Miss down to the wire on Thursday, but thanks to a goal from an awkward angle, fell 1-0 to the Rebels. The Cajuns had their chances late, but shots by Carson Glenn and Pailynn Pine were just off target in the final five minutes.
Northwestern State has won three in a row and opened the year with a bang, upsetting then nationally-ranked Texas, 3-2, in Austin. They have beaten Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley State, and Grambling by a combined 13-1 their last three times out.
