Ragin' Cajuns look to build on first tournament win of the season
HENDERSON, Nevada – Coming off its first team title of the season, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team opens play on Monday as it co-hosts the Lake Las Vegas Invitational at Reflection Bay Golf Club.

First-round action will begin at noon CT with teams playing 18 holes and teeing off from the No. 1 and 10 tees. Louisiana, paired with tournament co-host Arkansas State, Long Beach and West Virginia, will tee off beginning at 1 p.m. CT from the No. 1 tee.

The 54-hole event will continue on Tuesday with 18 holes before playing the final 18 on Wednesday. Live scoring will be available at Scoreboard.com.

Louisiana opened the spring portion of its schedule last week claiming the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas. The Ragin' Cajuns, who climbed 16 spots to No. 81 in the Scoreboard.com rankings claimed a six-stroke victory over top-50 ranked Houston and New Mexico State.

Malan Potgieter and Kyle Bennett, who tied for third overall in last week's event, will occupy the top two spots in the lineup for Louisiana. Eli Ortego, Jean Louis du Plessis and Carter Schmitt will round out the five-man lineup for the Ragin' Cajuns with Dylan Keating making his spring debut as an individual.

Long Beach (No. 39), TCU (No. 44), Arkansas State (No. 71), Louisiana and West Virginia (No. 93) are among the top-100 ranked teams in the 15-team field. Also entered in the 54-hole tournament are Boise State, DePaul, Eastern Michigan, George Washington, Kansas City, Long Island, Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois, Stetson and Texas State.
