Louisiana Hosts ODU In Key Sun Belt Soccer Clash

Ragin' Cajuns to play two of final three matches at home; faces Monarchs for Alumni Weekend
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Soccer team returns home to the friendly pitch of the Home Bank Soccer and Track Complex on Friday for Alumni Weekend when it plays host to SBC co-leader Old Dominion.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Admission to all Ragin' Cajuns home soccer matches is free.

Louisiana (5-5-4, 2-2-3 SBC), currently tied for seventh among SBC schools in total points (9), looks to maintain momentum for a spot in the Sun Belt Conference Championships, scheduled for November 3-8 in Foley, Ala. The Ragin' Cajuns face ODU (8-1-4, 4-0-3 SBC) for the third time overall and first since claiming a 1-0 road victory in 2023.

Natalie Mayes, the school-record holder in career shutouts (12), ranks fourth among SBC goalkeepers in goals against average (1.14) and is tied for sixth in saves (44). The added her 125th career save in last week's match at James Madison, moving her past Libby Harper (2021-22) into sole possession of eighth place on the school's all-time list.

Offensively, Carson Glenn has ranked among the league leaders in four categories – shots (42), shots on goal (17), goals (5) and game-winning goals (2). The Lewisville, Texas native has scored in each of her last three matches, beginning with a pair of assists against Southern Miss, with goals scored against Texas State and JMU.

After facing ODU, Louisiana will close out its road schedule on October 24 at Troy before wrapping up the regular season on October 29 against ULM.
