Louisiana has won six straight in the series
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana men's basketball team looks for their seventh straight win over Texas State when the two sides face off on Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Cajundome. The contest was pushed back from Wednesday due to the winter weather.
The Ragin' Cajuns improved to 4-3 in Sun Belt Conference play after a 65-60 win over ULM on Saturday. That win kept the Cajuns within two games of first place in the SBC in a crowded field. 12 of the league's 14 teams are 3-4 or better, with five teams tied at 4-3. Both the Cajuns and Bobcats enter the week tied at 4-3 and look to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.
Louisiana has owned the series in recent seasons, winning the last six in the series. The Cajuns won both games last year by an average of 19 points in a pair of blowout wins. Louisiana also beat Texas State in the 2023 Sun Belt Conference semifinals en route to a conference championship win.
