Ragin' Cajuns Open Fall Golf Schedule at Argent Financial Classic

Louisiana to defend 2023 title in first of five fall events
CHOUDRANT – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team opens the fall portion of its 2024-25 schedule on Sunday when it opens play in Louisiana Tech's Argent Financial Classic at Squire Creek Country Club.

The 54-hole event will take place on the par-72, 7,105-yard course beginning at 7:30 a.m. The 17 team-field will play 18 holes each day with the final round set for Tuesday at 8 a.m. Live results will be available by Scoreboard.com.

Louisiana, which shared the 2023 event title with UAB and Southern Miss, will also compete in the field against host Louisiana Tech, South Alabama, Troy and ULM, Houston, Rice, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Abilene Christian, Nicholls, Lamar, Western Kentucky, Little Rock and Jacksonville State.

Burke Alford will man the No. 1 slot in the Louisiana lineup for New Orleans transfer Kyle Bennett making his Ragin' Cajuns debut in the second spot. Returners Malan Potgieter, Dylan Keating and Eli Ortego will round out the five-man lineup for Louisiana with newcomer Jean Louis du Plessis making his debut as an individual.

The event is the first of five fall tournaments for Louisiana, which will see the Ragin' Cajuns competing in events at Nebraska (GitRDone Invitational), SMU (Trinity Forest Invitational), Little Rock (Everett Buick GMC Classic) and Oral Roberts (The Clerico).
