Louisiana Faces ULM Looking for First SBC Victory

The Ragin’ Cajuns look for their fourth straight win in Monroe
MONROE, Louisiana - The Louisiana soccer looks to earn their first Sun Belt Conference win of the season this Sunday against ULM in Monroe.
This will be the 34th all-time meeting between the schools, a series that has recently gone in favor of the road team. The road team has won each of the last four in the series while Louisiana has claimed the last three in Monroe.
"It's always fun playing against in-state schools," said Megan Bradley. "If we just focus on ourselves we'll be able to earn a big conference win on Sunday."
Louisiana fell on Thursday to App State, 1-0, on a goal in the final minutes. Despite the slow start to conference action, 0-1-1, Louisiana feels they're prepared after facing two teams that they believe are two of the best in the league.
"We're just focusing on ourselves," said Bradley. "We know how to bounce back and not let mistakes get to us. All we can do is focus on ourselves and stay strong mentally."
Coming into the season, the Cajuns emphasized their level of fitness. The team came into camp in better shape than ever, allowing them more time on the pitch to focus on tactics. With the season just over halfway done, the Cajuns are still looking to use that level of fitness to stay fresh for the home stretch.
"We have a great plan and we worked super hard over the spring and summer," said Bradley. "It's helped us stay strong throughout the season so far. All the work we did throughout the spring has made a huge difference this season. Coach (Chris) McBride and the staff have given us a great plan to stay fresh for the next game"
