Louisiana Set To Make Debut at 2024 Aggie Invitational

Ragin' Cajuns part of 12-team field at The Traditions Golf Club
BRYAN, Texas – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team heads west to the Lone Star State when it makes its debut on Saturday in the 2024 Aggie Invitational at The Traditions Golf Club.

The 54-hole event, hosted by Texas A&M, begins on Saturday at 7:20 a.m. with fixed starts at holes 1 and 10. The 12-team field will play 36 holes on Saturday with the final 18 holes set for Sunday.

Louisiana, which will be paired with Lamar and New Mexico State in Saturday's opening two rounds, will tee off beginning at 8:20 a.m. on the No. 10 tee.

Louisiana will be part of a field which includes four programs ranked in the Clippd Top-20 – host Texas A&M (22), LSU (30), Baylor (44) and defending champion Louisville (46). Also included in the field is Florida Gulf Coast, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, New Mexico State, Sam Houston and UTSA.

Sophomore Malan Potgieter, who has posted a 72.26 scoring average in 27 rounds this season, will man the No. 1 slot in Louisiana's five-man lineup on the par-72, 7,227-yard course. Potgieter will be followed in the lineup by Dylan Keating (74.90), senior Jake Marler (73.85), freshman Matthew Lotz (76.83) and junior Eli Ortego (72.15).

Burke Alford, who has played in all 27 rounds this season with a 73.33 scoring average, will compete individually. Â
