Louisiana Returns Home To Face ULM In SBC Soccer

Ragin' Cajuns have seven of last 10 meetings in series against in-state foe

LAFAYETTE – Coming off a split during its opening week of Sun Belt Conference play, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team returns home for a pair of league matches beginning on Sunday against in-state foe ULM at the Home Bank Track and Soccer Complex.
 
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Admission to all Louisiana home soccer matches is free.
 
The match will be streamed live on ESPN+ with live stats available at CajunStats.com.
 
Louisiana (4-3-2, 1-1-0 SBC) picked up a huge win on the road on Thursday, blanking defending SBC Tournament champion Old Dominion, 1-0. Tatum Beck's goal in the 53rd minute was enough for Louisiana against on the nation's stingiest defense with Makenna Garcia stopping a career-high 12 shots to earn her fourth clean sheet of the season.
 
Ten of Louisiana's 11 goals scored on the season have come from either freshmen or sophomores. Megan Bradley leads the Ragin' Cajuns with three goals on the season and seven points with Sisley Stephens and Beck each scoring a goal with an assist.
 
Freshman Mary Mueth recorded her team-high second assist of the season against ODU with Alyssa Abbott credited with an assist.
 
Garcia, who is second in the Sun Belt Conference in saves (47), lowered her goals against average to 1.13 on the season.
