NATCHITOCHES, LA. – The Louisiana track and field team doesn't have to go far for this weekend's meet as they'll compete in the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational up in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
The Ragin' Cajuns have been terrific this spring and are coming off a tough trip to Texas that included the Bobcat Invitational and the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. At the Bobcat Invitational the Cajuns won three events on the final day. The men's 4x100 relay came away victorious with a time of 39.78.
Kennedy London took home the gold in the women's 100-meter hurdles (13.61) while Loubert Dagrin was a winner in the men's 110-meter hurdles (13.92). Dagrin's time was the fifth fastest in program history. He wasn't the only record-setting performance on the day as Ta'La Spates recorded the second best time in the women's 400-meter (54.93).
The day begins at 10 a.m. with the women's javelin and the men's hammer events. Field events start at 1 p.m. with the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
