Ragin' Cajuns travel west to face AAC member Cougars

HOUSTON – Coming off a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Southeastern Louisiana on Friday, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team hits the road to face American Athletic Conference member Houston at Carl Lewis International Complex.
 
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Live results will be available at CajunStats.com.
 
Louisiana (2-3-0) got goals from Karleen Bedre, Alex Folchert and Tatum Beck in earning the win over the defending Southland Conference champions and NCAA Championship participants. Bedre added an assist in the match for the Ragin' Cajuns while Libby Harper stopped a pair of shots in earning the win.
 
Houston (4-0-1) opened the season with a win over Oklahoma and have victories over McNeese, Houston Baptist and Lamar. The Cougars earned a 4-4 tie against Stephen F. Austin.

• After a hard-fought victory over 2021 NCAA Championships participant Southeastern Louisiana on Friday, Louisiana makes the quick turnaround as it heads to face American Athletic Conference member Houston.
• The match was originally scheduled to be played in Lafayette, but was moved due to travel logistical problems to Southern Louisiana due to the impact of Hurricane Ida.
• The meeting is the first between the schools since 2015 after UH posted a 2-0 victory on Sept. 20.
• Tatum Beck and Alex Folchert each scored their first career goals in Louisiana's win over SLU. Beck's goal in the 66th minute served as the eventual game-winning goal - the first of her career.
• Karleen Bedre scored a goal and added an assist for her fifth career match with 3+ points.
