Gudjonsson, Hinnant in top-10 after first 36 holes
MONTGOMERY, Texas – Bjorn Gudjonsson and Peter Hinnant each posted consecutive rounds of even-par 72 and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team finished the first day of the Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational in third place in the team standings on Monday at Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Club.
The final round of the 54-hole tournament will begin at 8 a.m. Louisiana, which will be paired with first-day leader UT Arlington and host Sam Houston, will officially tee off beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Louisiana posted a team score of 2-over-par 290 in the opening round on the par-72, 6,756-yard course before shooting a 7-over 295 in the second.
Gudjonsson and Hinnant each finished at even-par 144 after 36 holes and four strokes behind first-day leader Marcus Wochner (70-70-140) of Wichita State. Hudson Dubinski posted consecutive rounds of 2-over 74 to finish tied for 19th place at 148 for Louisiana with Charlie Flynn (72-77-149) tied for 24th and Hunter Hammett (79-81-160) following.
Freshman Jake Marler, competing individually, was tied for 36th overall after finishing at 8-over-par 152 (77-75).
UTA posted team score of even-par 288 in the opening round before shooting a 3-under 285 in the second. The Mavericks finished at 573 after two rounds and claimed a five-stroke lead over Sam Houston (578) with Louisiana (585), Texas State (587) and Wichita State (591) rounding out the top five in the 15-team field.
Abilene Christian (599) was sixth in the team standings with Louisiana Tech (600), Stephen F. Austin (601), Southeastern Louisiana (607) and Incarnate Word (609) rounding out the top 10.
