Louisiana Golf Heads East For Craft Farms Intercollegiate

GULF SHORES, Ala. – Coming off a strong second-place finish at the Louisiana Classics two weeks ago, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team returns to action on Sunday when it opens play at the Craft Farms Intercollegiate at the Craft Farms Golf Resort Cotton Creek Course.

Louisiana, ranked No. 97 in the national GolfStat rankings, will tee off beginning at 9:30 a.m., from the No. 1 tee and will be paired with Sun Belt Conference rival Texas State and former SBC rival Western Kentucky in Sunday's opening round.

The 54-hole tournament — which is co-hosted by South Alabama and Eastern Michigan – features three rounds in three days, with play teeing off at 7:50 a.m. from the first and 10th holes on Sunday and Monday before Tuesday's action begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

Ball State, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois State, Lamar, Lipscomb and Southern Illinois round out the 12-team field on the par-72, 7,127-yard course.

Peter Hinnant, coming off a ninth-place finish at the Louisiana Classics, will lead the Ragin' Cajuns and will be joined in the lineup by Hudson Dubinski, Charlie Flynn, Bjorn Gudjonsson and Hunter Hammett.
