Louisiana Soccer Match 16 Preview: vs. Texas State

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team wraps up Friends and Family Weekend on Sunday when it plays host to Texas State in a Sun Belt Conference battle at the Ragin' Cajuns Track/Soccer Facility.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m., with the match being streamed live on ESPN+. Live results will be available at CajunStats.com.

Louisiana (6-8-1, 3-3-1 Sun Belt), which is in a three-way tie with ULM and Coastal Carolina for sixth place with 10 points, opened its weekend with a convincing 3-0 win over Little Rock as the freshman tandem of Carol Rodriguez and Tatum Beck accounted for all three goals. Rodriguez's first goal of the season in the 21^st minute would be all that Louisiana would need in the win while Beck scored twice within a five-minute span in the second half to seal the victory.

The Ragin' Cajuns claimed a 1-0 victory in last year's matchup with Texas State (7-6-1, 4-4-0 Sun Belt) as Hailey Hoffmann scored in the 58^th minute. The victory snapped a seven-match win streak for the Bobcats in the series where Texas State holds an 8-2-0 lead.
