LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team continues its five-game week on Friday at 6 p.m. as the Cajuns host Arkansas State in a three-game conference series at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Game two of the series is slated for 2 p.m. Saturday, while the series finale gets underway on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Louisiana (13-9, 5-3 Sun Belt) split a pair of mid-week games defeating McNeese State 6-5 in 11 innings on the road Tueaday before falling 3-1 to Nicholls State at home on Wednesday. The Cajuns have won two of three conference series this season after picking up a series win at Georgia State last weekend.

The Ragin' Cajuns will have a slight change in the starting rotation as freshman left-hander Gunner Leger moves into the Friday night slot. Leger has a 3-0 record on the year and is tied for second in the Sun Belt in wins. He is also tied for the team-lead in strikeouts with 32 and ranks sixth in the conference.

Senior right-hander Greg Milhorn moves up into the Saturday spot in the rotation, while freshman right-hander Evan Guillory closes out the series on the mound for Louisiana on Sunday.

Milhorn is 1-0 coming off of a strong performance at Georgia State matching a career-high throwing seven innings in a win. Guillory is also 1-0 and has yet to register a decision since his first start of the season.

The Cajuns have the best average in the Sun Belt hitting .284, while the team's 3.33 ERA ranks third in the league. Blake Trahan and Nick Thurman rank top 10 in the SBC in hitting as Trahan is second with a team-best .395 average.

Louisiana owns a 73-37 all-time record against the Red Wolves having won five of the last six meetings.

Arkansas State (10-12, 2-6 Sun Belt) has lost eight of its last ten games coming into the weekend. The Red Wolves also split a pair of mid-week games besting Murray State 14-6 before being edged out in a one-run game by Southeast Missouri State 6-5.

Sophomore right-hander Tyler Zuber gets the nod for ASU on Friday boasting the league's fifth best ERA (1.77) with a 2-2 record in five starts. Left-hander Jon Glidewell (2-0) is slated to start on Saturday, while right-hander David Owen (2-2) will make the start on Sunday.

Zach George paces a Red Wolves offense that is hitting .252 with 49 doubles, three triples and nine home runs. George is the only ASU playing batting over .300 on the year with a .364 average, six doubles, one home run and seven RBI. Joe Schrimpf has a team-leading 17 RBI, while Matt Burgess has 10 doubles and 15 RBI.

Following the series with Arkansas State, the Cajuns will face No. 1 LSU in the Wally Pontiff Classic at Zephyr Field in Metairie La. on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
