A two-way player at Barbe High School where he lettered four years and helped the Bucs win the 2012 and 2014 Class 5A State Championships…Earned Second Team All-American honors from Baseball America as a utility player…Posted 11 wins with a 1.94 ERA with 65 strikeouts in 72 innings as a senior…Went 6-0 with a 2.04 ERA in 44.2 innings while striking out 47 as a junior…Also played football at Barbe as a wide receiver and helped the squad reach the state championship game in 2012.

Leger…Born on September 12, 1995 in Lafayette, La….Son of Tim and Ashley Leger…Father Tim Leger, who is currently the wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Louisiana, played collegiate football and was drafted in the fourth round of the MLB Draft and played three seasons for the Pittsburgh Pirates…Majoring in kinesiology.
