LAFAYETTE, La. – Shelby Isley and Yazmin Montoya each had a goal and an assist to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns past the ULM Warhawks, 2-0 on Sunday at the Johnnie Downs Sports Complex in Alexandria, La.

"We were really clicking with our offensive ball movement today," Isley said after the game.  "It's really nice to see the progression of what we've achieved throughout this season."

The game was originally scheduled to be played in Monroe, but poor field conditions moved it to a neutral field in Alexandria.

For Isley it was the third goal of the season and 12th of her career, tying Ashley Delahoussaye (2000-03) for fifth all-time at Louisiana.  She also holds sole possession of fourth place all-time at Louisiana in points as well.

"It's great to be climbing the all-time leaderboard," Isley mentioned of her ascent up the all-time lead in points.  "To me an assist is just as good as a goal.  A play has to be produced in order to have a goal and I'm glad to have such a good team to help me on the pitch."

For Montoya, the goal and assist are her fifth of each this season, for 15 points.  She now moves into a five-way tie for most points in a season.  Her five assists lead the team and ranks third in a season at Louisiana.

Isley got the scoring started early for the Cajuns, netting her goal in the fifth minute of the game on a corner kick play.  Claire Ruehle knocked down Montoya's cross, and sent it to Isley in the middle of the box for the goal.

"[Montoya] crossed it in from a corner and [Ruehle] got a head on it," Isley said of her goal.  "I came in from the post just in time to beat the goalie and get a touch."

Montoya added to the lead later in the game, scoring in the 73rd minute.

Isley took the ball down field and crossed it to Montoya who was streaking down the right side, and made it 2-0, Cajuns.

Louisiana had another great scoring opportunity when freshman Annika Schmidt was awarded the Cajuns' first penalty kick of the season in the 69th minute.  ULM keeper Holly Mallison got a finger on the shot and redirected it into the crossbar for the save.

It was another dual shutout for goalkeepers Cory DeMarco and Kendall Graham.  The duo has split the past six games, with DeMarco getting the start and Graham coming in for the second half.

DeMarco was the winning keeper, improving to 5-2-0 on the season.  She made one save in the first 45 minutes.  Graham was tested a bit more in the second half, making three saves, but the duo wasn't solved by the Warhawks.

The Cajuns are now 2-1-0 in Sun Belt action, and hold down the fourth position in the conference standings, with five games remaining. They will return to Lafayette for three conference games against UALR (Oct. 11), Arkansas State (Oct. 13) and Texas State (Oct. 18).  Of Louisiana's remaining five games, four of them are at home.
