Cajuns Host Southern In Final Non-Conference Home Match

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Ragin' Cajuns soccer team is slated to close out a three-match homestand on Friday at 7 p.m. hosting in-state rival Southern in the final non-conference home match at the Cajuns Track/Soccer Facility.
The Cajuns (3-2-0) are coming off of a 2-1 win over Nicholls State on Monday. UL got second half goals Maci Andrus and Hayden Gibson to complete the comeback win.
This is the first meeting between Louisiana and Southern (0-2-0). The Ragin' Cajuns are 7-0 all-time against teams from the Southwestern Athletic Conference with a combined score of 35-1 in the seven contests.
On the year, UL is 2-0 against teams from the state of Louisiana including wins over McNeese State and Nicholls.
The Jaguars have dropped their only two matches of the 2012 season falling to Lamar and Nicholls.
Seniors Erin Lynn and Amanda Moorefield pace the team on the season as Lynn has a team-best two goals, while Moorefield ranks second in the Sun Belt with a 0.99 goals against average. Moorefield also is the UL career leader in wins with 20.
