Ragin' Cajuns open six-game homestand beginning Tuesday
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Baseball returns to M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park for a pair of midweek games against in-state opponents beginning on Tuesday when it plays host to in-state opponent Southern. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
After facing Southern (21-20) in the first of a six-game homestand, Louisiana (25-18) will also host Nicholls (22-19) on Wednesday before resuming Sun Belt Conference action beginning on Friday against Georgia State.
Both games will be available on ESPN+. Fans in the Lafayette area can listen on KPEL-FM (96.5) and worldwide on The Varsity Network app.

Fans can take advantage of the season-long "Two-For-Tuesday" promotion for the Southern contest with two tickets for the price of one in the bleacher back sections, $2 Natural Lights, $2 popcorn and $2 hot dogs.
Louisiana won three of its four games last week, capped by a SBC road series win at Arkansas State where it won two of three. The Ragin' Cajuns rallied in claiming a 3-2 victory on Friday before scoring six runs in the 10th inning in an 11-5 win on Saturday.
Parker Smith (2-3, 3.90 ERA) will make his second career start on the mound for Louisiana. The right-hander has made a team-best 18 appearances on the mound and will be the eighth different pitcher to start a game this season. Wednesday's starter for the Ragin' Cajuns is to be determined.
Lee Amedee (.324-3-30), Colt Brown (.317-2-27) and Rigoberto Hernandez (.298-3-22) led the Ragin' Cajuns at the plate.
Both Southern and Nicholls enter the midweek matchups riding three-game win streaks, with the Jaguars sweeping Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Nicholls outscoring Stephen F. Austin, 38-7, to complete a three-game sweep on the road. The Colonels have a scheduled doubleheader against Southeastern Baptist (Miss.) on Tuesday.
The Jaguars are led at the plate by KJ White Jr. (.415-1-32, 25 stolen bases), with Nicholls paced offensively by Nico Rijo-Berger (.354-3-24).
