Louisiana Wraps Up Fall Ball On Friday Against Lamar

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will wrap up its four-game fall schedule on Friday afternoon when it plays host to Lamar at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

First pitch is set for 5 p.m. Admission is $10 (cash only), which will benefit the UL Diamond Club.

Louisiana closes out a month of fall games that saw the Ragin' Cajuns face Nicholls, Northwestern State and McNeese. The matchup with Lamar, who will return to Lafayette for a regular-season game on March 30, 2027, will feature a pair of six-inning contests.

Lamar finished the 2026 season 34-27 overall and 19-11 in Southland Conference play. The Cardinals won the conference title and advanced to the NCAA College Station Regional.

SUPPORT THE FRIENDS OF TONY ROBICHAUX FUND
Louisiana Athletics and the Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Foundation (RCAF) have launched the Friends of Tony Robichaux Fund, a $5 million fundraising campaign that will directly support Louisiana Baseball while honoring the enduring legacy of the winningest Division I baseball coach in Louisiana collegiate history.

As part of the initiative, Louisiana Athletics will name its baseball complex Tony Robichaux Park in honor of the legendary coach whose impact on Louisiana Baseball extended well beyond the field.

The Friends of Tony Robichaux Fund will carry that legacy forward by providing direct support for Louisiana Baseball and helping ensure future generations of Ragin' Cajuns have the opportunity to experience the same program Robichaux worked tirelessly to build.

The $5 million campaign provides an opportunity for former players, coaches, alumni, supporters and friends of Louisiana Baseball to honor Robichaux's legacy while investing in the future of the program he helped shape.

To honor Coach Robichaux and support the future of Louisiana Baseball, make a gift to the Friends of Tony Robichaux Fund.
