Nelson Set to Compete at NCAA National Championships on Friday

The two-time Sun Belt Conference Champion is making his second appearance at the national championships in as many years
EUGENE, Ore. - Jeremy Nelson goes for it all on Friday when he will compete in the triple jump at the NCAA National Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Nelson will be the final jumper in the first flight.
The Monroe native swept the Sun Belt Conference triple jump titles for the second time in his career this season. Nelson clinched the outdoor title with a jump of 52-5.25/15.98 for his fourth SBC title overall. The junior then jumped 52-4/15.95 at the NCAA East Regional in Jacksonville, Florida, qualifying in ninth for the national championships. Nelson is one of three SBC competitors to compete this weekend in the event, along with Chris Preddie of Texas State and Stafon Roach of ULM.
The triple jump is scheduled to begin at 7:10 p.m. CT on ESPN+, while fans can follow along with the live results link found here.
