Potgieter Opens Play Monday at NCAA Tallahassee Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Louisiana's Malan Potgieter opens play on Monday when he competes in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional during the open day of the NCAA Men's Golf Regionals at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

Potgieter, ranked No. 62 nationally by Scoreboard.com, will tee off in the final group at 8:04 a.m. CT from the No. 1 tee. The junior, one of five individuals competing in the event, will be paired with Joshua Stewart of Davidson and Florida A&M's Sascha Robinson.

The low five teams in the 13-team field and the low individual not on those teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, set for May 23-28 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

Potgieter, making his second trip to the NCAA Regionals after competing with Louisiana in 2023, averaged 70.76 in 33 rounds of play during the season with six top-5 finishes in 11 events. Potgieter was one of seven Sun Belt Conference golfers to earn a berth in the NCAA Regionals and finished tied for third overall (5-under-211) in the SBC Championships.
