Louisiana Concludes Road Trip at Fifth-Ranked LSU

Ragin' Cajuns, Tigers meet for 87th time on the diamond
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball team wraps up a five-game road trip on Tuesday when it travels east to face No. 5-ranked LSU at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. The game will be streamed live on SEC Network Plus with Lyn Rollins (pxp) and Ronnie Rantz (color) providing commentary. Fans in the Lafayette area can listen to the game on KPEL-FM (96.5) and worldwide on the Varsity Network app.
Louisiana (11-14) took two of three games at South Alabama last weekend, capped by a 9-3 win in Sunday's finale. The Ragin' Cajuns enter the game against LSU (22-3) with the No. 9 toughest overall schedule according to WarrenNolan.com with their non-conference strength of schedule set at No. 16.
Conor Higgs (.338-9-17), the Sun Belt Conference co-leader in home runs, leads Louisiana at the plate with Owen Galt (.294-0-6), Drew Markle (.294-2-7), Caleb Stelly (.287-4-16) and Brooks Wright (.284-0-14) following.
The meeting with LSU is the 89th between the schools with the Tigers holding a 58-28 lead. The teams met in last year's Astros College Foundation Classic with LSU claiming a 4-3 victory. Louisiana earned an 8-5 win over the then No.-1 ranked Tigers in the previous meeting in Baton Rouge.
