Louisiana falls to fifth in 15-team field; will tee off at 10:30 CT on Wednesday
HENDERSON, Nevada – Eli Ortego and Malan Potgieter each recorded rounds of 2-under-par 70 as three golfers finished below par and helped lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team during the second day of the Lake Las Vegas Invitational on Tuesday at Reflection Bay Golf Club.

The final round of the 54-hole event will begin on Wednesday with a 10:30 a.m. CT shotgun start. Live scoring will be available at Scoreboard.com.

Kyle Bennett posted a 1-under-par 71 for his fifth straight round of par or better as Louisiana fired a team score of 3-under-285 to finish at 574 after 36 holes. The Ragin' Cajuns finished in fifth place in the 15-team field, two strokes behind co-host Arkansas State (572) and five shot behind third-place Stetson (569).

Bennett finished tied for eighth overall at 4-under-140 after 36 holes with Jean Louis du Plessis tied for 24th at even-par 144. Potgieter moved up to 2-over-146 after 36 holes for Louisiana with Ortego finishing at 3-over-147.

Carter Schmitt posted a score of 2-over-74 to finish at 6-over-150 after two rounds with Dylan Keating posting a 78 and finishing at 158.

First-day leader Long Beach maintained its lead over the field, posting a team score of 274 and finishing at 551 after 36 holes and a 13-shot lead over second-place Northern Illinois (564).
