Friday’s visit to Thibodaux continues current five-game road stretch

THIBODAUX – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball team visits Nicholls on Friday, November 14 as the team's current five-game road swing continues with a stop at David R. Stopher Gymnasium in Thibodaux.

Tipoff between the Ragin' Cajuns (0-3) and Colonels (1-2) is set for 6:30 p.m. (CST).  Live coverage is available on ESPN+ and The Goat 103.3 FM/1420 AM.

Louisiana seeks to break into the win column on the young season. Nicholls is making its home debut after a season-opening, three-game road swing ended Wednesday in an 89-64 loss at Florida State.

The Ragin' Cajuns and Colonels are meeting for the third straight season. Louisiana captured victories in November at the Cajundome the previous two years.

It's the first meeting in Thibodaux since November 2012, held during Garry Brodhead's inaugural season at UL.

Louisiana is led by the double-figure scoring trio of Amijah Price (13.0), Jazmyne Jackson (11.0) and Mikaylah Manley (11.0). Price, who averaged 18.5 points during the opening week, and fellow freshman Imani Daniel, who scored 17 points in 16 minutes at No. 4 Texas, have taken turns delivering impact performances.

Nicholls' balanced offense features six players averaging at least five points per game, led by Mississippi Valley transfer Sh'Diamond McKnight's 13.0 scoring average. The Colonels roster includes former Ragin' Cajun Jasmine Matthews, the team's third-leading scorer (8.3).
