LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana men's basketball team welcomes Old Dominion to the Cajundome on Thursday in a Sun Belt Conference battle. It'll be the first meeting between the programs in Lafayette.
The Ragin' Cajuns look to get back on track after falling on Saturday to Georgia State. In three SBC contests, the junior is averaging 17.7 points, the fourth most in league play. He is also third in league action at 8.0 rebounds per game.
Kentrell Garnett has also turned up his scoring output in conference action. The senior is scoring 11.3 points through three conference games. He's up to 210 career three-pointers, the sixth most in program history. Garnett needs two to tie Blaine Harmon for fifth in school history.
Old Dominion is coming off a three-point home victory over Southern Miss on Saturday. The Monarchs are led offensively by Robert Davis Jr., who enters the week scoring 14.4 points per game. The sophomore played a huge role in the team's two conference wins, scoring a career-high 32 in their overtime win over ULM and 18 in the win over Southern Miss.
