Louisiana Heads to Lake Charles for Saturday Morning Meet

The Ragin’ Cajuns have just two meets remaining before the SBC Championships
LAKE CHARLES - The Louisiana cross country team heads to Lake Charles for some early Saturday action at the Cowboy Stampede. Louisiana joins a field including host McNeese, Alcorn State, Blinn College, Houston Christian, Louisiana Tech, and Prairie View A&M while the North Central Texas College, Northwestern State, and Rice women's teams will compete.
The day starts at 8:30 a.m. with a women's 5k before the men run a four-mile beginning at 9 a.m. The college portion of the event will be followed by high school and middle school runners from the area.
Last time out the Cajun women finished ninth at the Texas A&M Invitational while the men placed 10th. Isabelle Russell's 24th-place finish at 18:02.2 led the way for the women. Louden Boudreaux finished 40th at 24:51.6 to lead the men.
This is the penultimate race before the Sun Belt Conference Championships for Louisiana. The Ragin' Cajuns wrap up the regular season at the Arturo Barrios Invitational on October 18 in Bryan-College Station, Texas.
