BOONE, North Carolina – It's a battle of two of the hottest teams in the Sun Belt Conference on Saturday as Louisiana takes on App State in Boone, North Carolina. The Ragin' Cajuns have won their last four on the road and nine of 10 overall.
Louisiana took care of business on Thursday in a 68-60 win at Old Dominion. Hosana Kitenge was a force with 17 rebounds and 12 points for his second double-double in as many games and his fourth of the season. Kobe Julien finished with a team-high 14 with eight rebounds while Themus Fulks stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, six assists, and five rebounds in the win.
The Mountaineers are holding onto a one-game lead for first place in the SBC and are ahead of the Cajuns by two games in the league standings. App State is one of 24 schools in the country with a perfect record on their home floor this year. They lead the nation in blocked shots at 7.2 per game as part of a stingy defense that allows just 66.5 points per game.
