The Cajuns are back home after a 2-1-1 road trip spanning three states

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team is back home for the first time in nearly three weeks as they'll welcome Alcorn State to the Home Bank Track & Soccer Complex on Thursday, September 7.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CDT. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+ with live stats available at CajunStats.com.

Louisiana (3-1-2) played Florida International to a 2-2 draw on Sunday in Miami, Florida. The Cajuns struck first with Megan Bradley recording a brace in the first half, with the goals coming just 48 seconds apart. The Panthers tied the score in the 74th minute for the final.

Bradley now leads the team in scoring (3 goals, 1 assist, 7 points) just ahead of Sisley Stephens (2 goals, 1 assist, 5 points). Sophie Placke has netted a goal and added an assist during her freshman campaign while Emma Bates, Bailey Giddings, Briana Henry, and Annelise Switzer have each scored once. Karleen Bedre, Mary Meuth, and Cassandra Decombe all have one assist apiece. In net, Makenna Garcia has started all six games, making 26 saves and posting three shutouts.

Alcorn State enters Thursday's action winless on the season (0-5). They have struggled offensively and are yet to score this season. Last week they fell in a pair of road contests at Jacksonville State (4-0) and North Alabama (2-0).
