Louisiana Heads to Huntsville for Southern Showcase

The Ragin’ Cajuns had three top-10 finishers in their opening meet of the year
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Two weeks after their opening week of the season, the Louisiana cross country team heads to Huntsville, Alabama for the Southern Showcase on Friday, September 15. It'll be an early morning for the Cajuns with the race beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The Cajuns opened the fall two weeks ago at the Early Bird Invite in Beaumont, Texas. Peyton Chaisson had a big showing, placing sixth. Haley Salsbury grabbed a seventh-place finish while teammate Caroline Spalitta was right behind her in 10th.
Louisiana women placed third as a team with Abbey Marie Ratcliff (14th), Ella Segura (16th), and Brooke Spalitta (18th) all finishing in the top 20. The men were fourth with John Walker McDonald (15th), Mason Haley (18th), Owen Tauzin (22nd), and Andrew Leck (24th) having their scores counted.
