Late Surge Helps Louisiana Earn Draw at Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Karleen Bedre scored an equalizer in the final minute and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Soccer team scored twice in the final three minutes to forge a 2-2 draw against Mississippi State on Saturday at the MSU Soccer Complex.
Louisiana, playing its fifth and final match of the spring, finished 2-1-2 overall and outscored its opponents, 10-5.
Trailing 2-0 in the 87th minute, Lucy Ortiz scored her first goal of the spring – and unassisted goal – to cut Mississippi State's lead to 2-1.
Bedre scored her third goal of the spring with under a minute to play in regulation when took in a pass from Ruthny Mathurin and scored past MSU's goalkeeper.
