Louisiana Opens SBC Slate Against Visiting Red Wolves

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball team officially opens Sun Belt Conference play when it opens a three-game series on Friday against Arkansas State at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.
First pitch is scheduled for Friday's opener is scheduled for 6 p.m. The second game of the series is set for Saturday at 2 p.m. with the finale scheduled for Sunday at 1.
All three games will be streamed live on ESPN+ with fans able to listen locally on KPEL-FM (96.5) and worldwide on the Varsity Network app.
Defending SBC Tournament champion Louisiana (11-6) opens its 30-game league slate against Arkansas State (7-8) while closing out a five-game week. The Ragin' Cajuns opened the week with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday over Jackson State before dropping a 4-2 contest against Mississippi State on Wednesday at MGM Park in Biloxi, Miss.
Louisiana, which will play 13 of 14 games at home, will return to action next week with a pair of midweek games against Grambling (March 21) and Southeastern Louisiana (March 22) before traveling to Mobile, Ala., for a three-game set (March 24-26) at South Alabama.
