Louisiana, Northwestern State Battle To 1-1 Draw In Spring Soccer

LAFAYETTE – Karleen Bedre scored her second goal of the spring and the Louisiana Ragin's Cajuns Soccer team finished in a 1-1 draw with Northwestern State on Friday at the Home Bank Track/Soccer Complex.

Louisiana, which moved to 2-0-1 in three spring matches, took a 1-0 lead when Bedre collected a rebound off NSU's goalkeeper and scored for a 1-0 lead. The Demons would tie the match in the second half as Louisiana allowed its first goal after posting shutouts against LSU-Eunice and Houston Christian.

The Ragin' Cajuns will close out the home portion of their spring schedule on March 25 against LSU before traveling to face Mississippi State in the spring finale on April 1.

All home soccer matches are free and open to the public with limited concessions provided.
