Ragin' Cajuns Soccer Opens Spring Season Against LSUE

LAFAYETTE - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team begins the second year of the Chris McBride era as it opens its five-match spring schedule on Friday when it hosts LSU Eunice at the Home Bank Track/Soccer Complex.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Admission to all home matches is free and concessions will be provided.
The match for Louisiana is the first of four spring matches at home which includes contests against Houston Christian (March 4), Northwestern State (March 10) and LSU March 25). The Ragin' Cajuns will close out the spring schedule on April 1 at Mississippi State.
Louisiana returns its top seven scorers from 2022, led by Ruthny Mathurin (5 goals, 3 assists, 13 points) and Karleen Bedre (3 goals, 5 assists, 11 points). Hailly Waterhouse (3 goals, 6 points), Penelope Montenegro (1 goal, 2 assists, 4 points), Sisley Stephens (1 goal, 2 assists, 4 points), Alyssa Abbott (1 goal, 1 assist, 3 points) and Tatum Beck (1 goal, 1 assist, 3 points) are among a group of 18 returning players from last season.
