Waterhouse Named To LSWA Soccer Team

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns defender Hailly Waterhouse earned postseason honors after she was named an honorable mention selection on the 2023 Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-Louisiana Collegiate Women's Soccer Team, which was announced by the LSWA on Tuesday.

Waterhouse, a junior from Mandeville, La., native and former St. Scholastica Academy product, finished among the team leaders in goals scored (3), points (9) and minutes played (1,394) for Louisiana.

She started in 16 of 17 matches during the season and played a full 90 minutes in 10 contests during the season. Waterhouse scored goals in matches against Southern Miss, Marshall and Texas State during the season with her goal against Marshall proving to be the game-winner in the regular-season finale and sending Louisiana to the Sun Belt Conference Championships.

Waterhouse attempted nine shots on the season with four attempts on goal for Louisiana, which finished 7-9-2 overall.
