Ragin’ Cajuns Back in Action at Arturo Barrios Invite

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Coming off a long layoff, the Louisiana cross country team is back in action on Friday, October 13 at the Arturo Barrios Invite in College Station, Texas. The Ragin' Cajuns last ran at the Southern Showcase on September 15.
Peyton Chiasson has been the fastest Cajun this season on the men's side in both of the team's events. The junior ran a career-best time of 25:37.5 in the 8k at the Southern Showcase last time out. Freshman Ella Segura had an impressive showing for the women, finishing with a time of 18:58.90 to pace the women.
The Cajuns enter a field this weekend featuring 42 teams including Sun Belt Conference foes Arkansas State, Marshall, and Texas State. The meet begins at 8:30 a.m. with the men running in the 8k with the women to follow in the 6k.
Up next for the Cajuns is the Sun Belt Conference Championships in Foley, Alabama on October 28.
