Ragin' Cajuns Tee Off at All-American Intercollegiate

Louisiana part of 17-team field co-hosted by Houston, Rice
HUMBLE, Texas – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team continues its busiest stretch of the spring season on Monday when it opens play at the 2022 All-American Intercollegiate at the Golf Club of Houston.

The two-day event, co-hosted by Houston and Rice, will start with an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Monday with the 17-team field playing 36 holes. The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday in an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

Louisiana, in the midst of playing three tournaments in successive weeks, will join Sun Belt Conference members Arkansas State, Georgia State, Texas State and ULM on the par-72, 7,425-yard course. Also competing in the field is Abilene Christian, Baylor, Florida State, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, New Mexico State, North Texas, Sam Houston and UTSA.

Peter Hinnant (72.29 scoring average) and Eli Ortego (72.04) have played in all eight events during the 2021-22 season for Louisiana and will man the top two slots in the Ragin' Cajuns five-man lineup.

Charlie Flynn (72.94), who made his spring debut last week at the Louisiana Classics, will make his seventh appearance this season with Hunter Hammett (75.56) and Jake Marler (75.17) rounding out the lineup.
