Ragin' Cajuns Host Chanticleers In SBC Soccer Clash

Louisiana looks to earn win on Alumni Weekend
LAFAYETTE - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team welcomes back many of the program's alumna as it plays host to Coastal Carolina in a Sun Belt Conference match at the Home Bank Track/Soccer Complex.
Kickoff to wrap up Alumni Weekend is scheduled for noon. Admission to all Louisiana soccer home matches is free.
The match will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Dan McDonald (pxp) and Scott Braza (color) providing the commentary. Live stats will be available at CajunStats.com.
Louisiana (1-5-4, 0-2-1 SBC) returns to action after dropping a 1-0 decision last Sunday to defending SBC champion South Alabama. The Ragin' Cajuns opened SBC play on Sept. 16 with a 1-0 setback to SBC East Division favorite Old Dominion before earning a 1-1 draw at SBC East member Georgia State on Sept. 21.
Ruthny Mathurin and Hailly Waterhouse have each scored a pair of goals to lead Louisiana with freshman Sisley Stephens leading the team with a pair of assists. Libby Harper has posted a 1.93 goals against average for the Ragin' Cajuns and a 1.33 GAA in SBC contests.
Coastal Carolina (1-6-2, 0-3-0 SBC) dropped a 3-1 decision to Georgia State in its last match last week. The Chanticleers lead the all-time series against Louisiana, 4-2-1, which included a 1-0 victory in last year's match in Conway.
Megan Brouse tacked on her team-leading sixth goal of the season against GSU and leads the team with 13 points. Julia Ziegenfuss has added two goals while Rose Behrmann tacked on one of her own. Taylor Tolson and Ziegenfuss lead with Chants with two helpers each.
Katelyn Kellogg has started six matches in goal for CCU this season and has recorded 22 saves.
