Louisiana Golf Opens Play Monday at UAB's Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate

Ragin' Cajuns to play 36 holes on Monday before playing final 18 holes on Tuesday
GADSDEN, Ala. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team plays in its third event in as many weeks beginning Monday when it opens play at UAB's Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate at Silver Lakes Golf Course.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament begins on Monday at 7:30 a.m., with a 36-hole fixed start with the final round set for 7:30 a.m., on Tuesday.

Louisiana joins tournament host UAB in the field which includes five Sun Belt programs – Georgia State, South Alabama, Texas State, Troy and ULM – plus Charleston Southern, Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville State, North Alabama, Lipscomb, Samford, Western Kentucky and Winthrop.

Louisiana, which will be paired with Texas State and Jacksonville State in Monday's 36-hole event, will tee off beginning with Hudson Dubinski in his 2021-22 debut at 8:15 a.m.

Charlie Flynn (8:24 a.m.), Peter Hinnant (8:33), Eli Ortego (8:42) and Jose Dibildox (8:51) will follow in the order for Louisiana from the No. 1 tee.

Louisiana earned a third-place finish at last week's Lone Star Invitational at TPC San Antonio with Dibildox and Ortego each posting top-10 finishes to lead the way for the Ragin' Cajuns.

Dibildox, making his Louisiana debut, carded a final-round score of 2-over-par 74 to finish fifth overall at 2-over 218 for the tournament. Ortego, a freshman who was playing in his second collegiate event, posted a 1-under-par 71 to finish at 219 overall and tied for sixth.
