Hinnant, Flynn Lead Ragin' Cajuns at Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate

Second round suspended by darkness; play resumes at 7:30 a.m.
GADSDEN, Ala. – Peter Hinnant and Charlie Flynn each posted 36-hole scores of 3-over-par 147 and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns wrapped up the first day of the Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate in a 12th-place tie on Monday at Silver Lakes Golf Course.
Action was suspended due to darkness with three of the 15 teams still on the course. The final day of the 54-hole event will begin on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m., with teams in a fixed start. Louisiana will be paired with Western Kentucky and Jacksonville State in the final round.
Hinnant and Flynn each posted identical rounds of 2-over- 74 in the morning session before carding rounds of 1-over 73 in the afternoon. Freshman Eli Ortego opened the day with a 1-under-par 71 before recording a 5-over 77 in the afternoon to finish at 4-over 148 after 36 holes.
Jose Dibildox posted rounds of 3-over 75 and 2-over 74 to finish at 5-over 149 with Hudson Dubinski posting rounds of 78 and 77 in his 2021-22 debut.
Louisiana finished in a tie for 12th place with a 36-hole total of 591 on the opening day with host UAB leading the field at 558.
