In this Q&A feature article, you will "Get to Kneaux" Ragin' Cajuns soccer forward Grace Champagne. The Houma, La., native played in 25 career matches in her first two seasons at Louisiana before sitting the 2019 campaign due to injury. Now fully healthy, Champagne will look to be a key contributor for the Ragin' Cajuns in 2020.

What was become your daily routine during quarantine?
GC: "My daily routine during quarantine was waking up around 8, enjoy my coffee, study till around 11-12ish, eat lunch, workout and run in the afternoon, eat dinner and watch a movie."

What has Head Coach Key's message to your team been during this unprecedented time?
GC: "Coach Key's message to our team during this unprecedented time is to use this time to focus on getting to know our teammates better and focus on the positives that came out of this situation rather than the negatives."

How have you and your teammates stuck together remotely during this challenging time period?
GC: "My teammates and I have been communication through our GroupMe and snapchat groups while also having trivia nights via zoom every Thursday night."

An important question: what is your favorite food?
GC: "My favorite food would have to be spaghetti."

Take us back to when you decided to come to the University and become a Ragin' Cajun. What about the school helped you make that decision?
GC: "UL just felt like home as everyone was so welcoming."

What is your earliest sports memory?
GC: "My earliest sports memory would have to be of my dad coaching me around the age of 5."

Growing up, your sports hero was who? And why?
GC: "My sports hero would have to be Lionel Messi as so many people told him he would not be that great and now he was one of the best in the world because he believed in himself."

What is your major, and what about it do you like most?
GC: "My major is Management and what I enjoy the most about it is learning how to apply the things I have learned into my future career."

What class have you enjoyed most at the University so far?
GC: "The class I have enjoyed the most so far has been my business law class that was about negotiations."

What are your plans after your academic and athletic career at Louisiana is done?
GC: "After my time is up at UL, I plan to attend law school and chase my dreams of becoming a lawyer."
