Men’s Tennis Falls To UTSA, 5-2

LAFAYETTE - The Louisiana Men's Tennis team dropped a battle to USTA, 5-2, at Cajun Courts on Sunday. All singles matches aside from one went three sets.
Louisiana and UTSA fought hard for the doubles point, but the Roadrunners ultimately claimed it in the third doubles match. Jan Galka and Kacper Dworak were the two that won their doubles match for the Ragin' Cajuns.
Louisiana was put in a tough spot having to win four of the six singles matches to claim the overall victory. Jamie Fraser was the first to exit the court for Louisiana beating Javier Rodriguez, 6-3, 6-0. Following Fraser's victory Karlo Kajin grabbed a win against Naiver Gonzalez, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.
The Ragin' Cajuns battled all afternoon and five of six singles matches went to the third set. Ivailo Keremedchiev dropped his first match of the season after fighting back but lost, 1-6, 7-5, 4-4.
Louisiana will be back in action at Cajun Courts for two matches on Friday against Texas A&M-CC at 9 a.m. and Northern Arizona at 4 p.m.
