Louisiana Soccer Releases 2020 Spring Schedule

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team released its 2020 Spring Schedule that features four playing dates in the month of March, highlighted by a pair of in-town matches.

Louisiana will kick off the spring slate on March 7 with a pair of matches at Lafayette's Moore Park against in-state opponents Nicholls State and LSU-Eunice. The Ragin' Cajuns will open against Nicholls in an 11:30 a.m. contest before facing LSU-E at 1 p.m.

The Ragin' Cajuns will make the one-hour trip east the following week as they will face LSU in a 3 p.m. match on March 14 at the LSU Soccer Stadium.

Louisiana will face a pair in-state foes on March 21 in Hammond as it will battle McNeese State at 1 p.m., and Southeastern Louisiana at 5:30.

The spring schedule will wrap up on March 28 with a trip to Houston, Texas to compete in the Houston Baptist 7v7 Tournament at Sorrels Field with HBU, Lamar, Texas Southern and McNeese also competing.

Louisiana finished 9-8-3 under first-year coach Lance Key and reached the semifinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Ragin' Cajuns return 19 letterwinners, featuring returning captains Una Einarsdottir and Julianne DeBlieux, along with first-team All-Sun Belt Conference defender Gwen Mummert.
