Ragin' Cajuns part of 14-team field in 54-hole event
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team wraps up the fall portion of its 2020-21 schedule beginning Monday when it opens play in the Little Rock Invitational on the Founder's Course at Chenal Country Club.
Action begins with an 8 a.m., shotgun start on Monday in the 54-hole tournament with the teams playing 36 holes. The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m. Live results will be available at GolfStat.com.
Louisiana joins host Little Rock along with Sun Belt Conference schools Arkansas State, South Alabama, Texas State, ULM and UT Arlington in the 14-team field. Also participating in the event is Abilene Christian, Central Arkansas, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, Missouri State, Southern Illinois and Southern Miss.
The event is the third of the fall for Louisiana, which returns to action for the first time since a sixth-place finish at the Graeme McDowell Invitational in Birmingham, Ala. Charlie Flynn posted his first career top-10 finish for the Ragin' Cajuns with a ninth-place performance with Hudson Dubinski and Hunter Hammett each posting top-20 performances in their 2020-21 debut.
Flynn leads Louisiana in the 28th annual event with the Ragin' Cajuns fielding six players with the top four scores counting in the daily team results. Hammett, Dubinski, Justin Caldwell, Bjorn Gudjonsson and Peter Hinnant will round out the lineup for Louisiana on the par-72, 7,115-yard course.
