@RaginCajunsSOC Announces Spring Schedule Of Exhibition Matches

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Soccer and first-year head coach Lance Key have announced the 2019 spring schedule that includes five exhibition matches against in-state opponents, including a home match, on March 12, against Louisiana State, for a total of six matches over the month of March.
Louisiana will open the spring slate with a visit to Hammond, La., on Saturday, March 2 where they will take on Southeastern Louisiana and McNeese State. A week later, on Saturday, March 9, Louisiana heads to Nacogdoches, Texas for a match against Stephen F. Austin.
The Ragin' Cajuns return to the Ragin' Cajuns Soccer/Track Complex for their lone home match against Louisiana State on Tuesday, March 12, with that match starting at 8 p.m. with free admission for any fans wanting to attend.
The squad wraps up the spring with a Saturday, March 23, trip to Monroe, La., where Louisiana will face ULM and Louisiana Tech.Â
"The spring slate will permit us to evaluate where we are presently in relation to where we are going and where we want to be," said Key. "The matches against other programs in the region will help to provide a necessary measurement of ourselves.
"We have made tremendous progress thus far as a program in 2019 and we look forward to continuing that journey. We all recognize that to achieve the level every competitor aspires toward, we must dial it down to our decisions, on and off the field."
