Ragin' Cajuns to play fourth road game in a seven-game stretch

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball team heads west for the second time in the last three weeks when it travels to face Pac-12 opponent Arizona State in a Saturday night contest at Desert Financial Arena.
 
Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. CT The game can be heard in the Lafayette area on both KHXT 107.9 FM and ESPN 1420 AM. The game will also be available at PAC-12 Networks with live results available at RaginCajuns.com.
 
Louisiana (5-3), which is playing the fourth of a seven-game span on the road, erased a 14-point deficit in the first half on Tuesday and roared past in-state opponent Southeastern Louisiana, 98-81. Jalen Johnson notched a career-high 26 points for the Ragin' Cajuns and grabbed 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season and fifth in his career.
 
Cedric Russell (16 points), Kobe Julien (12), Tirus Smith (11) and P.J. Hardy (10) each scored in double figures as Louisiana set season-bests in points and field goal percentage (57.1 percent). Russell grabbed a career-high seven rebounds for the Ragin' Cajuns with Julien dishing out a career-best seven assists.
 
Arizona State (5-2) returns home after playing its last four games on the road. The Sun Devils capped off the road trip with a 71-67 victory at San Francisco on Tuesday.
 
The contest between Louisiana and Arizona State will be the third between the schools with the series tied at 1-1.
